Church...

A couple weeks ago we got a call from the bishop wanting to meet with me. I was very much so planning on refusing any calling he had in mind for me; every time that we've moved to a new ward I had been called as a sunbeam teacher within 2 months and this whole thing was making it pretty hard to socialize with adults and i just felt like I was nothing but a 3 years old 24/7. Anyways all that to say that I was ready to say NO. It was just a matter of finding the right time during the interview.
Well after talking to us for a little bit, all I found myself saying to the bishop was: "Ok! Of course Bishop!" And there I was; on my way to second counseller in the primary. I love kids, dont get me wrong, and i love serving in the church. I'm just not sure if it was that good of an idea to put me in charges of like 75 kids I dont know one bit about. But it'll be fun I'm sure. This coming Sunday will be very challenging though: On top of doing my first time conducting primary AND doing sharing time, Adam and I have been asked to talk in Sacrement. So those poor kids are gonna hear me talking for ever and ever! This is already keeping me up at night: I keep trying to plan things out, find what to say and how, and just plain freak out. Let's see how that goes!

Josan's thoughts

In the car the other day Josan said to us: " Now I like cars. And I like people, and houses, and mommies and daddies, and cars. Cause I'm such a nice boy. And I'm super handsome too. And I'm a huge boy. I'm not small anymore; I'm huge now!"

Thought I would share! :) I just love his amazing personality! I love my boy!

Fun summer days

We had our first taste of the zoo here in Colorado Springs. We LOVED it. Ok so I have an unofficial bucket list. And one of the things i wanted to do was to get to pet and "interact" with a giraffe! I just love those amazingly beautiful animals. I was quite in heaven. The giraffes were almost fighting over us to get the lettuce. So I gotto pet lots of them!

We went to breakfast before. Forget Josan's fingers being a little too adventurous, look at the baby's face. Kaylee is IN LOVE with Josan (or Adam. they both look exactly the same. Josan's more her size is all really) and stares at him as much as she possibly can! it's adorable!

Giraffes have HUGE tongues. Josan didnt love the slimmy long tongues, but he still liked feeding them. It was awesome!

Josan and Jack get along so well. We're so glad to have this little body 5 minutes away from us

The Clarks on the lift they have at the zoo. It's a super fun ride. adam got pretty sweaty. But everybody else just loved it!

That's the view we had from up there. It was amazing

They had a little gym playset too where the kids could play. I guess the only monkeys were not behind glass!:)

And that's on our way down the lift. Josan was very good at listening to us. He knew that this was a big deal if he didnt obey.

For memorial day we were supposed to drive back to Utah to see everybody. But I think the most of "everybody" we would have seen is the pictures on their walls! hahaha. Lots of people were busy this weekend, so we decided that we might as well just stay here and enjoy our 3 days weekend at home. Our friends Steve and Laura invited us over for a tasty bbq and our neighbors/friends the Lakes tagged along. it was super laid back. But we had lots of fun too.
When we first moved here we were very sad and worried that we would miss our friends from utah all the time and not have anybody close like them here. Although we DO miss our forever friends, we are so very lucky to have people around us (or that share a wall even!) to hang out and have fun. Anyways, all that to say that our memorial weekend was really fun. We're planning a trip to Utah soon; for Adam's bday or the fourth of July maybe? Not sure!

It doesnt look like it but the kids WERE very happy and excited to have a movie party up in Josan's bedroom. They had treats, blankets and a good movie

The guys at the BBQ. Adam does that kind of face a lot lately. No idea why really. Thanks for posing for me boys! :)

Those kids have such good daddys! They played with them and tired them up good! :)

The kids play so good together! Josan has some awesome friends that's for sure!

HEre's the ladies. I had to drag Suzanne and Laura but Cady and Kaylee came for the picture without a fuss! :)

Isnt she one of the prettiest little girl in the world? She's such a good baby!

The kids were fascinated by Steve's stories. I've never seen josan sit like this for a story. Steve sure knows how to keep his public's attention!

To next BBQ guys?

Bye bye Grand-Maman

My stepDad's mom just died this past weekend. She had just barely turn 92 years old on May 12. She was the sweetest, nicest, most beautiful lady you could meet. She always smiled and would welcome you with open arms anytime. Everybody that knew her agree that you just could NOT find any bad qualities about her. She had no malice, no bad intentions, no bitter feelings towards anybody. she will be dearly missed. But will have a lot of people to welcome her in heaven. Je t'aime Grand-Maman!

I didnt get the chance to see her for...years. Witch makes me extremely sad. I guess it's part of what I call "my sacrifices for Adam". But i hope she knows how much I loved her. This is a picture of her with my cousin Audrey this past Easter.

(Merci pour la photo volee Audrey!:))
