Yes, I am aware that there is A LOT of pictures in this post. But There's also been a lot going on! So I couldnt put any less on here.
Josan had a little End of Year presentation with his 3 kids class. It was adorable. I thought he'd want to go to a bigger school next year but he really wants to go back to Miss Teri's. He loves her and has had a great time with her all year.
Then on May 21rst was Jessica's birthday. That couldn't go without celebrations of course so we did as much as we could...decorations, cake, presents, pedicure and a girls only breakfast. We had tons of fun!
Then Bruce came for a much too fast visit. He helped us out a ton as usual. He put in a dog door downstairs, helped me with my shelves and fixed the sprinklers. Not sure if you can call that fun for him but we sure had a great time! :)
June 1rst Adam and I had our first ever race. It was a very friendly, non competitive Color me RAD 5k race. We had a BLAST. We actually are doing another one of those on July 26th! We ran it with our friends Laura (that came to visit for a few days), Jessica and Cambria. So fun!
While Laura was here we also tried The Incline. It's a mile up worth of stairs (or more just beams in the ground really). We were almost to the half point when we had to turn around. Considering we had a 4 years old with us I think we did ok!
We've had a bunch of just random cute/fun stuff too. We've been going to the park and walks a lot more now that the good weather seems to be here to stay.
Josan has been doing headstands all day long for the past few weeks. He can hold it like this for up to 2 minutes or so now.
The basement is finally almost done. Still a few things to do but for the most part I'm pretty happy with it. This is my favorite wall of our sports room :)
These are pictures of our trip to Canada. That was our favorite time there so far. It was amazing to be able to spend some time with my brother outside of jail for the first time in almost 9 years. It was also the first time that Adam and Josan got to spend time with him as a normal uncle/brother-in-law.
We were not supposed to see him until Sunday but when we got there Saturday afternoon my brother was hiding waiting to surprise us. That was awesome. Then we had pizza for dinner. The pizza there is a completely different taste and texture than the Us'. We had it twice. I would have it every day if I could.
Visiting Trois-Rivieres with my brother. I lived there for a couple of years and loved it there. If we ever moved to Canada, this would be one of the places I'd like to move.
Mmmm POUTINE!...to be with those 3 guys made it even better!
This is in a suburb of Quebec City, Lorretteville. That's the other place I'd love to live again. It's so beautiful there. And everybody is so nice! We met my amazing friend Nancy there too and hung out all day. Then she had us over for dinner with her two daughters and one of their boyfriend. It was so nice to catch up. I really miss those people a lot more than I thought...
There is not a lot of kids that are Josan's age in my family. So I was that much more excited to finally meet my cousins' kids. They were all so cute and so sweet!
We ate there 4 times. They have the best poutine ever!! If you dont know what poutine is, it's homemade french fries and squeaky cheese curds smothered in delicious gravy. Don't judge before you taste it; I've never met someone who tasted it that didn't love it (American OR Canadian;)) !
More sight seeing...with my mom this time. That is in Shawinigan
Fathers day was not as "Adam focused" as usual this year. I had my own Dad and stepDad to celebrate, along with my brother's birthday on the same day this year. But Hopefully he still felt special and liked his present and his day!
Both David and Adam got their cards from my mom and step dad the same day since Adam's birthday is just a week after our trip
Like I said, we had NEVER been together like this before. So we decided to have a little photo shoot before we left. It turned out a lot better than we thought it would!
We got to visit my dad a little bit for fathers day too. That had been a LONG time since the 3 of us had been together.
Canadian money might not always be worth as much as the US, but it sure looks cool! :)
For some reason this is the only picture I took of it, but we spent our last night in Canada at my friend Emilie's house, We had a great time with her, her 2 kids, husband and her sister. I ve known thoses girls for a long time. And Emilie was my best friend in high school. Time sure doesnt change how much fun we have together. Even if that means that we wont even get 5 hours of sleep. :)
Josan is such a little business guy! He always goes throught the safety booklet before we take off! See you next time Canada!
