October

On October 5th it has been 6 months since we lost one of the most wonderful woman on earth. We still miss her every single day and we feel her presence quite often. I know she watches over us constantly. Love you Mom!

On October 5th it has also been  9 years since I lost another one of the most important women in my life; my Grandmother. My Meme. Her and Mom share a lot of amazing qualities. And, although I miss them both more than words can express, I know that I will see them again. Je t'aime Meme.

On October 10th we went to Bear Lake to Terry and Alan's cabin for the first time. We loved it there. It was so nice to be away for a bit and enjoy being together. Their cabin is amazing. It has everything anyone could need...and then some.
About to have our first raspberry shake.
Got to see this guy right by us on the trail

We had our official pregnancy announcement on October 11th. There was no way we could wait any longer.

We took the boy to the Planetarium. He can't get enough of that place. So we have to go every once in a while!

Josan's class had a field trip to the fire station about a mile away from the school. The whole class walked there and, even if there was a few complaints here and there, everyone had a great time. The one tricky part was to cross 193. We had 20 seconds to have 30 people (including 25 kids) cross a really busy 4 lanes road. The kids did great though.

The next day I had a Dr appointment and the best parking spot was....an Expectant Mothers spot!!! I was so excited to park there!!!

Adam's job sent him to Washington DC. So we decided to all go with him. We kind of had to really. How can you not go to Washington DC? We sure didn't regret going!
The view from our room

It was pretty cozy in there for a few days!
One of the big highlights of our trip was to go to Larry and Cherry's house in Virginia. They were celebrating Erik's birthday and invited us over. It was way nice to spend some time there with them and even actually get to meet some of them in the first place!

It might not look like it but Adam DID have to work...

Josan and I walked to the zoo for a couple hours while Daddy was working. It's a free entrance zoo but to be honest you definitely get what you pay -or don't- for. IT still was fun to spend some time together and get some fresh air.

We thought it was hilarious how here in Utah you get 15 to 20 seconds
to cross a main freeway and in Washington DC you get 70 seconds to cross
a 1 lane for each way little road.

We didn't have much time to play tourists and see everything we wanted to see there. But we did get to see our 2 favorite things; the Washington Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial.

These pictures are from my run. I could only go on one but it happened to be the best 3 miles ever! Not that great on time cause I kept stopping for pictures but it was so pretty! And so much easier with a lower altitude! Loved it!

The trip back from Washington was a little rough; we got up at 3:30 (1:30 Utah time), to get on our flight. Then after traveling for ever we made it back to Salt Lake at about 1:30pm. So really that was 12 hours of traveling. We were so tired. But had an amazing trip!
Later that same day Adam had his last -make-up- softball game of the season. He had a pretty good first hit. But then when he was running from second to third base he jumped his way to 3rd; his foot landing right by the base. The weight of his body was all absorbed by his ankle. Adam heard a pop and next thing we knew he was on the ground trying not to throw up.

It didn't look TOO bad when we got to Urgent Care...

It still was broken though. Adam got lucky in a way; his ankle broke just under the growth plate. So there was no need for surgery. Still needed a splint at first to hold everything together and let his ankle swell.

When they took the splint off to replace it with a cast his ankle and his foot didn't look good at all anymore...

And here's the final result! Adam will have to have this cast until November 20th and then the Dr will decide if he needs another cast or just a boot.

We were super last minute to carve our pumpkins this year since we were so super busy. But we had a lot of fun doing it. Josan did a great job carving his own pumpkin all by himself and even helped Adam to get a little creative with branches. I loved keeping mine simple with a clear intention of telling the world about our tiny little pumpkin!:)

We had an ultrasound at our 10 weeks point. Junior was adorable moving a little while Mom and Dad were watching. Later we showed Josan the video and picture of the ultrasound. Here's what he said: "That's a perfect baby!"
I just love that soon-to-be big brother!

I had to put these 2 pictures together. Josan and Junior look so alike this early on!

We had a lot of last minute fun for Halloween this year. I volunteered for Josan's school Halloween party and we both had a great time!
Made him a couple of pumpkin shape quesadillas for lunch. He loved it!

His whole class in their costume!

I was over the cookie decorating station. This was my favorite group...;)

And here's Josan's chef d'oeuvre!

This was on Halloween day. We didn't really have plans for Trick-or-treating but it ended up perfect. Having Dad with us definitely made it that much more fun!

We ended up hanging out at Rory and Lori's house after the boys were done Trick-or-treating. Great time!
