DAY 3: GRENADA (December 1rst)
Getting to our first stop
We're here!!
There was a pretty good group going with us. I'd say like 30 maybe?
Josan HAD to be first. He was so concerned about it!
We're on! And yes, we were first...
getting ready to go snorkeling
We just had to...
(Even if my foot looks huge and Adam's is barely bigger than Josan's;))
Old fort in Grenada
Back in our room
I was getting ready for dinner when Josan says: "Hey look mom..."
"I can open the door with my cheeks!!
He was so proud! What a skilled boy we have!
Bye Grenada!
Dinner
Yes. That is 3 different deserts all for me. Thanks for asking!
DAY 4: ST. LUCIA (December 2nd)
The pictures don't do justice to how gorgeous it was.
It's more like a faint hint of how it really was.
On our way to the beach!
For this one we decided to go to a national park beach.
Mike, Jim, Ben, Kelli, Adam and I went for a mini excursion of our own. We hiked up to an old fort and the view up there was even better! The funny thing is that, even from that far, we could spot out Josan pretty easy with his super bright shirt!
Mike is always so good with kids! But he was seriously awesome with Josan this whole trip. He'd come to him and ask him to come snorkeling or go find sea shells with him. These two are now official "snorkeling buddies"...:)
Back on the ship...time for dinner!!
These 2 thought it'd be fun to get some pictures done by the professional photographers that they have on board...we've learned from previous experiences that those pros like cheesy cheesy cheese. But it sure was funny to see other people pose out...
Then we were dancing kinda off by ourselves waiting for the elevator...when the photographer made it clear that Kelli HAD to dance in front of the camera. We never saw the results of these pictures. But we snapped a few of our own...don't judge!
DAY 5: ANTIGUA (December 3rd)
More amazing views with some of my favorite people
We tried out the dining room for breakfast that morning. Marvin was clear on the opposite side of the ship but our server still sent him our way. Josan was so excited to see him! Marvin even made him another duck. Mommy gotto watch this time and can now make them too!...well kinda!;) Our server one uped Marvin by making a swan for Josan. But that was not Marvin's last word...;)
Bad picture but it's the only time that we all sat together at the same table!
And we're ready to go!
We all got on a boat to our excursion which was...
Swimming with sting rays! They were huge and quite impressive. But once you were used to them it was amazing. Well some of us just didn't get use to them at all but still...We were able to snorkel with them, hold them and feed them. It was way fun!
Time to go back!
On our way back to the ship we saw 2 boys "selling peanuts for school". Bruce ended up taking the younger boy (probably 8 or so) for a 10 feet walk and giving him a few dollars. It's not uncommon to see that kind of things on the islands. On Antigua 70% to 80% of their revenue comes from tourism alone. And that's pretty typical for any other island as well...The people there are not use to the luxuries that we live in. It made me so thankful for where we live...
FORMAL NIGHT #2
Believe me now when I say it was SO cramped in there before dinner? So fun though!!!
All ready for dinner!! The ship was decorated all over for Christmas. It was so pretty! We still kept forgetting that it was Christmas time though. The sun, ocean and beaches did that to us I guess...
Josan and his no longer worse
Since Marvin got oudone, he decided to one up the swan and make a peacock!
Night time dip in the hot tub!
One of the reasons why we bring Josan -almost- everywhere we go is so he can spend those special times and create amazing memories with our family. I loved coming back from playing cards to this...so sweet!
DAY 6: STE. CROIX (December 4th)
Docking
Those hats are hot and heavy! No wonder why she's that tiny!
To me Ste. Croix was our main beachy day. We had all the time in the world to do whatever we felt like on the beach that day. It was fantastic!
We ate lunch at a local restaurant right on the beach. It was pretty good actually. And the prices were not even outrageous!
This girl made the cruise even better! And being prego didn't hold her back from doing anything. Seriously impressive!
Some of the boys
Going back on the ship for dinner
All ready for another delicious meal!
I didn't even plan on this but Josan and I matched perfectly!
DAY 7: ST. THOMAS (December 5th)
We didn't really have a plan for St. Thomas. So between waiting for everyone to meet up and deciding what we would do it took us for ever to get going.
First we did some shopping. St. Thomas is the best Island to do that. They have a lot of little shops there. I had to take a picture with this local I call the singing lady. She'll talk to you in songs. She has a lot of nice handmade stuff and she has the best prices. It was our 3rd time in St. Thomas and my 3rd time buying from her stand. See you next time Singing Lady!
St. Thomas is always one of our favorites. But this was Island #5 out of 5 and we were all super tired. So when a local offered us a guided tour of the whole island for $15 a person (Josan was free) we all agreed to do it! It wasn't the most fun thing ever, but now we can say we've seen the whole island!
Patrick (the guide) took us on a couple of beaches too
And took us to do some amazing sight seeing!
He also took us to the top of the Island where there's a huge souvenir shop.
Loved it up there!
We went to Saphire beach. We had been to that very same beach on our first cruise together so we tried to recreate a couple of the same "classics" really quick.
Our "Duckies picture" classic (2008)
(2014)
Our "Beachy love" classic (2008)
(2014) I Love that we can see Josan in the back!
I swear we saw my step dad's twin in St. Thomas too. I was pretty freaked out...
Andre...
His twin...
Seriously!!! The quality of the picture is horrible but they look so alike...down to the shirts (No I did not pick the picture on purpose)....creepy!
The girls with our great guide Patrick
Saying goodbye to one of the other ships that were docked there...in his underwear...
Ready for dinner now!
Our table with Marvin and Roselle!!
Farewell and Juggler show
Josan has found a new passion for juggling
DAY 8: CRUISE IS OVER...(December 6th)
Well it had to come to an end sooner or later. It went by super fast. And we had an amazing time. We're pretty sad to leave our room and travel all day back to the cold, dry Utah...
It took forever to get back to Utah. We had plenty of time for selfies...
We're already planning our next cruise. So far we're hoping for November 2015...maybe? Anyone that would like to join is more than welcome! We're "The more the merrier" kind of people...CAN'T WAIT!!!
