January...part 1

Ah man! Life is beautiful my friends! Really though, it seems like we are blessed more than we deserve it. No, things are not PERFECT. But they sure are pretty amazing. January WAS perfect.

Almost every night we try to play with friends. No way to be bored lately :)

FREEDOM OF THE SEAS
The highlight of January was an amazing Cruise in the Caribbeans. Every second was amazing. We loved the sun, the beach, the ship, the food, the service, the time with the Family that we miss so much, EVERYTHING! Of course the trip had it's ups and downs. But there sure was a lot more ups than anything!

This is the last night we spent on land.

DAY 1 (January 13th)
All of us in the shuttle to the ship. We're so excited!

Our home for a week!

Probably my favorite picture of our whole vacation!

Josan felt at home right away. And how could you not? Look at this view!

DAY 2 (January 14th)
We had this view from the boat that took us to our first island: Coco Cay

Coco Cay was beautiful

Another one of my favorites

Seriously look at the color of that water!

That was also our first formal night. I was lucky enough to have the 2 most handsome dates on the ship.

Tammy's gorgeous! Can I look like this when I'm 40?

That night we came back to a monkey/dog (still not sure what it was) on our bed :)

DAY 4 (January 16th)
First down of the trip. After 2 positive pregnancy tests I had a miscarriage. I was about 5 weeks pregnant. I was in a lot of pain that day. Imagine pliers grabbing you from the inside and twisting. That how it felt. But that actually was the easy part to go through. The emotional pain was much worse. We have been trying for 4 years to have a second child and I've had 2 miscarriages so far. It's hard to keep positive. But "Having faith in God is also having faith in his timing". I know He knows our pain and what He's doing.

On our way to St. Thomas

I love St Thomas. It was my second time there. But not the last! This time we went to Magen's Bay beach; one of the 10 best beaches in the world. I totally agree with that!

DAY 5 (January 17th)
St. Maarten was as beautiful as ever. Clothes or no clothes, it's definitly one of my favorite places.

Classic picture in front of the St. Maarten sign

The cruise was probably the best time I've had with Tammy. It was so much fun!

This guy was slashing open fresh coconuts. After eating half of Gage's i decided to get my own. I wish I was still eating some right now

Josan was so tired he fell asleep in my arms on the ride back to the ship...with a straw in his mouth :)

This is what it looked like if you looked out the windows on the ship. Deepest, most peaceful darknest ever!

Another hot tub time

DAY 6 (January 18th)

We didnt want to miss anything so we tried not to oversleep...but sometimes naps were a must

That night was a 2nd formal night. We asked Josan if he wanted to come to the fancy dinner or have pizza and go play in the kids zone. It was a no brainer for him; kids zone all the way!

I love these girls. I don't always know if I see them more like nieces or like friends :)

Feeding each other

Josan came back as Batman for desert. I was so excited to see him!

All of us again

2nd down of the trip: We asked Gage to watch Josan after dinner so we could go dance for an hour. But there was no dancing going on so we ended up in our bedroom so we could change for the night. One thing leading to another....well Gage walked on us! Poor Gage getting ready for his mission had to see his aunt in her birth suit! When we went to his room to say how sorry we were he was reading a 2 days old Cruise Compass and couldn't look me in the eye for a little while. I'm not sure if this can be considered as a down but it ended up being a way funny memory (that we'll all try to forget;))

DAY 7 (January 19th)

Farewell parade. It was so fun. I loved how kid friendly this cruise really was!

We decided to have our own little Caribbeans night

This time Josan cam back with a pillow case. They had a little pajamas party :)

Did I say I love these girls? (I need glasses! Those are Taryn's. Love the look!:))

So that's that. One of the best vacation we could ask for. We actually have already put a down payment on our next Cruise. We just had a great time and cannot wait for the next!

One last thing: I just wanted to wish Taryn a Happy birthday. She is such a sweet, kind, beautiful and amazing girl. Love you to pieces Taryn!!!
