Thanksgiving ride back

We LOVED our Thanksgiving in Logandale. We had so much fun spending time with the family! The bad part was....the ride back. We got over a foot of snow...and...well it could have gone better...

Here's what we left:
Here's a couple of hours later:
And then...
A couple coming from California was obviously not used ready to drive in one foot of snow driving their little Toyota Corolla. They banged in our car and forced us off the free way. The ONLY thing I could hear was: "dont push on the breaks. DONT push on the breaks. DONT PUSH ON THE BREAK." So I didnt. And we just slid our way to the fence through the snow. I pushed on the breaks right before we hit the fence. If I had before, we would have either spin or roll over. It really was so scary. Here's our car stucked in the fence.
Here's our 3 amazing kids. Gage, without knowing, calmed me down. He kept saying "We're ok. We're all ok." And after that I could finally ease my breathing a little (I was starting a asthma attack) and take care of things. Josan asked for me to hold him and, as soon as i told him I couldnt at the moment, he just stayed very quiet and calm. And patient. Taryn, our sweet Taryn, cried a little from the shock. It made me realize how much I love her. I wanted to cry because SHE was crying.
"My" 3 kids (that's what the cop was calling them. And I was loving it)

THANKSGIVING!

I cant believe that, 4 years ago, i was meeting my husband to-be for the first time and, while at it, meeting my whole family in law too! I'm so thankful for my awesome husband, his family, my own in Canada, and every single thing we have together. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite time of the year. And here's some of the reasons why:

Our gorgeous niece Jayme
The ladies...and Gage catching up....
Football football football...
Josan is so entertained every minute he's awake

Josan got to ride a HORSE!!! He was so excited!
In Grandpa's sandbox
...and on a tank
at the park

Now this is um...interesting....
Family time (all squeezed up there)
now that's what i'm talking about!
Can you believe this? And we can't even see all the food...
Mike slicing the turkey
Grandma Fox; the glowing queen of the macaroni salad :)
On this Thanksgiving I'm thankful for Bruce for cutting the ham
What a pretty face
...and another one. This one started getting stuffed already;)
Some pictures are pretty funny huh!
Gage and I, we're the picture masters.
Ok. Lisa is too
After eating. Now, we're ready for a nap!

Josan's birthday (part 1)

We were gonna celebrate Josan's bday in Logandale this year. Since everybody would be there for Thanksgiving anyways we just thought that d be easier that way. But then...what about his friends? So we had a little dessert thing on the 19th. It was a lot of fun. Thanks for everybody that came!
C etait tres bien!

This was the 1rst time in almost 10 years that I hadn't make a cake.
Can you tell I just spent 2 hours on that?

It kinda looks like a kid had fun with frosting...oh well!:)
Well at least Gage is posing (Josan only cares about the ball)
Au moins Gage prend la pose. Josan lui regarde le ballon

Rylund, Jackson and Josan watching Ice Age 3
Josan et ses cousin regarde Ive Age 3

Everybody's ready (but totally not posing) for present time!

Josan waits quietly for his cake
(Note that Eli is quietly waiting too!)
Josan attend calmement son gateau
(Eli attend lui aussi!)

Josan was so glad to have free access to this:)
This is way too good to pay attention to the camera!

And Josan ended up playing with...?
Et Josan a fini par jouer avec...?

Josan got so lucky last friday he went with Adam to meet GrandMa Fox and Grandpa Bruce. Together they went to visit....UNCLE JEFF AT THE FIRE STATION!!! Jeff spoiled Josan like crazy and took him on a ride in the firetruck, started the sirens and hinked while he was in there too!!! Josan got to hang out with the firefighters on duty and had a blast! I ve always wanted to do that since i was just a little girl. When I was 7 our house burned down and I always thought that firefighters were such heroes. But guess who HAD to work that night? Yep, me! So i was so jealous! But so happy to that Josan had one of the greatest time ever. Thank you again Jeff for giving Josan the grand tour like that!
Grandma, Adam and Josan in the little cart they use at concert or events or stuff like that
A very blurry Josan with the ambulance Josan with some of the firefighters there. And our own favorite: uncle JEFF!
Adam and Josan getting ready for the best ride ever!
Josan saying hi to Grandpa. He must have been showing off big time.
I m sure he thought he was the coolest boy alive in that truck!
In front of THE truck with Grandpa and Grandma Fox
With Adam on the train to get to Salt Lake
I love how happy Josan is to hear REAL sirens right there in front of him!
