May (and some of April too)

April

Here's some pictures of our April. We barely remember any of it. The pain we were feeling for the loss of mom definitely overpowered anything else that happened in April. But we do know how blessed we are and feel the blessings of being in Utah surrounded by people we love and the amazing support we have.

Josan is still not done with his army "phase". It is still his favorite things to play with.

Some pre Easter celebrations. Josan and Savanna got to paint Easter eggs together this year. As long as Savanna was using HER side of the paint plate, Josan was fine with it!;)

April 4th. I love these couple of pictures. This is the Easter egg hunt that we went to at Kara's house. The kids had a great time running around the Jeffery's huge backyard. They didn't even fight!;)
Just a bit after this, Mom and dad came over to visit. This was Mom's last day with us.

And these are the little Easter baskets that Mom so carefully put together for her grand kids. She spoiled them and loved them more than they'll ever know. I'm so so sad that Josan was blessed with her in his life only for a few short years. And it feels even worse to know that if we ever have more kids, they'll never get to know her here.

Just my handsome little man

This was Easter morning. We picked Josan back from Lori's at about 11 I think. As soon as we came out of Rory's parents house with him he said: "Is Grandma Jeannette dying?". We told him that we could talk about it when we'd get home. To that he turned around to face us and said: "Is Grandma dying? Tell me now." So we knelt down by him and told him that Grandma was already gone. That she had passed away to go back to Heavenly Father. All he could say, in the saddest, most disapointed voice ever, was "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaann". Which, I cold tell, was the best way for him to deal with the pain he was having.
When we got home, an Easter basket was hidden for him behind a picture of Christ. He smiled at it. But was not as excited as he would have been...

Some time in April we also had Jackson over for a sleepover. I had to snap a picture of their seriously cute faces as they prayed.

More handsomeness

The weekend following Mom's funerals we went up to Dad's house to clean up Mom's things. Tammy, Mike, Gage and Jay came with Adam, Jackson, Josan and me. It made things a lot easier to be together that way for sure

My love!

Once in a while I try to be a good citizen and go donate blood. I'm not sure when this was in April, but I need to go again soon...

Visiting Mom's grave before she had a head stone. We brought her flowers from our yard. And Josan brought a couple of airplanes that she had given him. He let her borrow them for a bit...

We got a little bit of play time as well. We went to our friends the Clarks' house and let Josan have some well needed fun.

Playing with a neighbor. Meg and Josan are such good friends!

Josan started Tball! He absolutely loves every second of it. And he plays so well too! Such an athletic big guy! (He's getting a grounder on this one)

May

May was a bit easier, and a lot harder at the same time. The numbness that we had been feeling in April was fading off to leave us with a sharper kind of pain. We were thankful for the distractions and the time that had already passed but things were still very hard.
We've seen Dad pretty much every weekend since Mom has been gone. If we dont go there he comes here. We need each other.
This one time that Dad came we met Adam at work for lunch. Right by his office there is a little place owned by a french Canadian. I got me a poutine and ate every bite of it!

While Dad was here Josan had his Kindergarten program. He obviously did great...:)

And afterwords we went to Zupas. Because it was Josan's pick. And because it always reminds us of Mom. She LOVED their cauliflower soup!

Fun with cousins. I love these boys!

More Tball awesomeness

The boy is usually pretty stubborn when it comes to food. But once in a while he'll try something new. California roll is a hit now!

Mothers day was rough for obvious reasons. With my mom all the way in Canada and Mom being gone it didn't feel like mothers day. But my boys were so good to me. I got my present early since we were going to Dad's. My sweet Josan made me a beautiful card and a hand print tile. The boys also gave me a gorgeous statue of a boy holding a gold heart. I'm so lucky to be his mommy!

We visited Mom on our way.

3 out of these 4 amazing women have passed away. And the fourth is in Canada and I never get to see her. Mothers Day didn't mean the same for sure.

Got my favorites for breakfast! It was delicious!

I'm so lucky to have these 3!

Love hanging out with these people! :)

Josan's school had a jog-o-thon as a fund raiser. It was raining and freezing but the boy still did great!

We had to post pone our yard sale a bunch of times but we finally got to have it! We actually had to do it on 2 different weekends cause we had so much stuff to sell from all the donations we got! We were able to raise about $2000 from it. That's 10% of our total!!!!! :)  We are so thankful for all the help, love and support we've had!

LOVE!
