Well if January was uneventful February sure wasn't. We had a trip planned to Nevada for Valentines Day. It's always a blast when we go there. We never have a bad time there. This time was half half though. As usual, we were more than taken care of. We were getting spoiled and loving every second of it. Then, on February 13th, I ran my first 10 miles ever in the states! I was so super excited! It has been really hard for me to run here with the altitude. Colorado is THE worst for that. I miss running my 2 hours a day in Quebec. It was so much easier to run there than it is here! But Nevada is not as high as Colorado and I could finally run a full 10 miles. I really really want to run a half marathon here. It's one of my main goal for 2014. But I had to put that goal and the whole working out in general on hold for a couple months. February 14th, right on time for Valentines Day, I had a few cysts removed from both breasts. So I had to stop running for 4 weeks. But my goal is so close I can almost taste it! I don't regret getting the surgery done in Nevada one bit though; Jeannette was my own personal nurse the whole time. She made sure my every little need was met and she took care of Josan (ok it was a little easier since his cousins Rylund and Jackson were there too) and she didn't let me lift a finger. Best MIL ever? Hands down!
On our way there. We are all so impatient to get there
We went to Ceasar's Palace. Went shopping a little and to the Cheesecake Factory
Playing games is a tradition. You HAVE to play games when you go to Bruce and Jeannette's
Josan was so excited that his cousins were coming! He had fun building forts with "rooms" for the 3 boys.
The boy wants to become a tank driver. Not one that goes to real war. One that just shoots at target to practice. I'll take that. Needless to say visiting the tank is another must when we go to the Grands!:)
We pretty much didn't see Josan at all from the time the cousins showed up. He couldn't have been happier. I love how it doesn't matter how long he goes without seeing them; they play as good as if they saw each other every day!
Back home with our boys. Love these 3!
